Supermicro and StratusCore Introduce the first multi-purpose Generative AI and Generative Design Superworkstation Solution with RAVEL for Content Creation and Design teams

First-of-its-Kind solution to address GenAI/Gen Design Workflow and Workloads to be showcased at NAB 2023

April 14, 2023

Seattle, WA - StratusCore and Supermicro (NASDAQ: SMCI)  announce the first turnkey Generative AI and Generative Design Superworkstation that is purpose-built for DevOps administrators to manage, control and scale Generative Design workloads for their local and remote content creation teams.

Making its debut and showcase at NAB 2023 in Las Vegas at Supermicro’s booth #N1015, the Superworkstation demonstration will present a complex Generative AI and Generative Design workflow running on Supermicro’s AI Superworkstation integrated with RAVEL Orchestrate™ utilizing; 1) the open source latent text-to-image diffusion model Stable Diffusion, 2)  Adobe’s Creative Tools including Adobe® Photoshop® and Adobe® Premiere® Pro, and 3) Autodesk’s Maya, 4) virtualization technology, and 5) secure access control and identity management.  RAVEL Orchestrate’s SMART Assembly™ will show rapid deployment, scheduling and operation of different software images on the Superworkstation’s virtual machines.

“There is no question Generative AI and Generative Design are here and will transform the content creation industry.   With StratusCore’s no-code RAVEL Orchestrate™, Supermicro now has a partner that contextualizes and brings practical use of our AI Superworkstation for the content creation industries and their teams to quickly and efficiently get to work right away.  Managing our Liquid Cooled AI Superworkstation’s technical resources and all the other ecosystem components is what completes the full solution for customers, ” said Wei Chang, Senior System Solution Product Manager at Supermicro. “Together, we make it possible for complex workflows and heavy workloads to operate all under a desk, bringing the efficiency of a small power footprint which lowers the total cost of operation and ownership - a clear win for all.”

This solution confidently answers the need of today's DevOps customers’ requiring efficient quick starts for complex workflows with large, and now immense workloads for their content creation teams. The utility and multi-use capability of this Superworkstation as a pure AI compute machine is a key function, however, the added ability to convert the Superworkstation into a virtualized command center via RAVEL Orchestrate™ where an Administrator can deploy the virtualized technical resources to both local and remote content creative team members illustrates the range and flexibility unlike any other.

“Supermicro’s Secure Liquid Cooled Superworkstation integrated with RAVEL Orchestrate’s SMART Assembly™ is timely and truly a first of its kind,” said Denise Muyco, Co-Founder and CEO of StratusCore.  “We are well aware that both creators and IP owners are curious and want to take advantage of Generative AI and Generative Design technologies.  Some will leverage open source technologies like Stable Diffusion, Open AI, and Midjourney, while others will use Adobe Firefly, Adobe’s new family of creative generative AI models, starting with images and text effects and designed to be safe for commercial use.  Providing flexibility to support both options for those who want to explore and those that want to protect their IP is supported by our partnership with this Superworkstation solution.”

Supermicro and StratusCore are offering Proof of Concepts and Trials for a Generative AI and Generative Design workflow with the ability to customize software images for commonly used creative software.  Virtualized access for select customers and partners for trial of the Superworkstation at Supermicro’s lab are limited and available on a first-come first-serve basis.
